FOURNETTE COMMITS

Number one high school football recruit from St. Augustine High school, Leonard Fournette announced where he would be playing college ball just a couple days ago.  The 6'1 226 pound running back officially has committed to LSU.  Only question now is, will he follow through and sign with the Tigers? We'll see what happens on signing day. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1908500-no1-rb-leonard-fournette-commits-to-lsu-meet-the-next-adrian-peterson

Booker T. Washington (FL) dominates Norcross (GA)

Last night on ESPN, #1 in the country ranked by ESPN Booker T. Washington out of Miami, Florida, defeated ranked #6 Norcross (GA), 55-0 in an absolute stunner of a blowout.

Booker QB and FSU verbal commit Treon Harris was unbelievable. In just 3 quarters of action, he went 23 of 28 for 287 yards, 5 TD's, and no interceptions. On the other end of the field, Norcorss's Lorenzo Carter, who is #11 in the ESPN 300, and the #3 Defensive End in the country, was completely shut down and had nothing to show for.  Credit is given to offensive lineman Jordan Ingraham who kept Carter in check through out the entire night, which definitely has drawn the attention of some big name schools that were at first mainly only focused on Carter.

Number 1 recruit

Though it's still early, ESPN has released their Top 150 list of High School football players from across the nation.  Right now the number one ranked player and recruit in the class of 2014 is Saint Augustine High School running back Leonard Fournette out of Louisiana.  So far Fournette has received offers from 11 schools; Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Texas, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, and West Virginia.  Watch for highlights, stats, and more on Fournette in the near future.

RECRUITING TOPIC OVERVIEW

The topic I selected is high school football recruiting by colleges.  It covers profiles and the recruiting of all the top high school football players in the nation.  I selected this topic because it really interests me and someday I want to a college football assistant coach and recruiter for the team.  The thing I want to accomplish by creating this blog is to continue to update it and hopefully attract a handful of followers and maybe someday get noticed by a college football team.
High school recruiting is so important because it sets the tone for the NFL’s future players and it is what makes colleges big powerhouses contending for the top bowl games and the National Championship.  I started getting into it and became interested in all of it after watching several high school football games on ESPN of the top teams from around the country some years ago.
